Obituary of Percy Harrison Fields, Jr.
Minister Percy Harrison Fields Jr., was born on December 23, 1965 in Salisbury, MD, to Faith Fields of Salisbury and Percy H. Fields, Sr. of Owings Mills, MD. Percy graduated from Parkside High School in 1983. Also, Wor-Wic Community College.
He was ordained into ministry at New Life Ministries Inc. by Pastor Thomas R. Hoy, Jr. on Parsons Rd. He was employed by several businesses as a cook throughout Wicomico and Worcester Counties. He truly loved to cook. He was molding his daughter, Hope, to cook and would constantly place her dishes on Facebook.
Everyone loved him, he would do anything to help anyone. He loved the children, often talking with them in the neighborhood, in church or anywhere where he met them. Always encouraging them.
On September 19, 2020 God chose to take him home. He is no longer suffering from his ailments.
Percy leaves his loving memories to his mother Faith Fields of Salisbury; father Percy H. Fields, Sr. of Owings Mills, MD; brother, Willie A. Williams, Jr. of Columbia, MD; three daughters, Shakia Fields of Hurlock, MD, Hope Fields of Salisbury and Charity Smith-Fields of Princess Anne, MD; a niece Meadow Kelley of Salisbury; two sisters, Michelle Lynn (Leon) of Owings Mills, MD and Keisha Guise of Baltimore, MD and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
He also leaves to cherish his memory aunts and uncles: Carl Fields (Lynette) of Florida, Oris Fields (Stephanie) of Silver Springs, Elder Reginna Johnson of New York, Renee Davis of Texas, Rev. Brian Smith (Tany) of Salisbury and Sam Culley Jr. (Maria) of Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Conolia Morris, Hilda (Robert) Smith, Samuel Culley, Sr., two aunts, Lillian Gale, Mabel Baugh and an uncle, John Morris, Jr.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 12 pm at the Stewart Funeral Home by Holloway and Downey PA. A visitation will be held on Monday evening from 6-8 pm at the funeral home and Tuesday one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Parsons Cemetery following the service on Tuesday.
