Obituary of Eva Snowden

Eva Snowden (nee Wallace) of Seaford, Delaware was born November 24, 1933 and was one of 11 children born to Carroll and Beulah Wallace in Gibson, NC. She departed this life on June 19, 2020. 

Eva moved to Brooklyn, New York as a young girl.  In the 1980’s she began her career as an EKG Technician and worked at several hospitals in New York City.  Eva moved to Seaford, Delaware in 1990, and worked briefly at PRMC and Methodist Manor House, retiring in 2003.  

Eva was known for her “Fiery Spirit” and “tell it like it is” personality.  She was a dedicated mother and grandmother that always ensured her family had “The Best” of everything.  One of her greatest joys was when she dedicated her life as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1969.  Eva kept busy serving as a full-time preacher of the bible for over 15 years.  She firmly believed in the bible’s hope of a resurrection and maintained her faith up until the end.

Eva leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Brenda Snowden, Wanda Snowden, Lynette Snowden and Peter J. Snowden.  Grandchildren, Tiffanie Snowden, Porsche Snowden, Nathaniel London, Peter Snowden, II, Tara Snowden, Stepfon Snowden, Jordan Preston, Austin Spann, Monique Snowden, Peter Snowden, Jr and Isabella Snowden.  Great Grandchildren, Jason McKinnon, Kennedy Dowell, Cataleya Snowden and Kaiden Jordan-Snowden.  Two sisters, Dorothy Rich and Esther Wallace.  Sister-in-law, Viola Wallace.  Special friends, Eula Royster, Shanta Brijlal, Martha Lawrence, Vanlin Horsey and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.  Brothers, Kellog, Carroll, Jr, John William, Leon and Charles Wallace.  Sisters, Jerri Goldsmith, Judy Kinard and Geneva Bennett.

A private virtual memorial service will be held on July 4, at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Seaford, DE
