On November 6, 2019, God sent his angel to call his own, Curley Lee Ivey, to his great reward.
Curley, son of the late Jim and Baby Ivey, was born September 18, 1926 in Pasco County, Florida.
He was educated in the schools of Paso County and studied at the former Florida A & M College, now A & M University, in Tallahassee, Florida.
Curley received his first Christian experience at the Church of God in Christ in Dade City Florida at the age of 15. Curley was one of the founding members of Cathedral of Love Church Ministries. He was a faithful member until he was no longer able. He served as a member of the Methodist Men, Steward Board, Trustee Board and he was the oldest member in the church and also became the father of the church. He was ordained Elder in 2010. One of his greatest accomplishments was establishing the food pantry at COL Ministries.
In 1974, he became the musician for the Sons of Thunder, Zionettes, and Jr. Jublilees.
Curley leaves to cherish his fond memories, a special God Niece Zanita Curtis of Salisbury, Maryland, a host of friends and his church family.
