Obituary of Joseph Turner, Sr.

Joseph Richard Turner, 75, departed this life surrounded by his loving family on April 10, 2018 at Deer’s Head Coastal Hospice by the Lake in Salisbury, MD after struggling from Lengthy illnesses. Richard, as he was better known as, was born on September 19, 1942 to the late Warner P. and Annie Rosalie Turner in Quantico, MD.

He received his former education at Quantico Elementary School and graduated from Salisbury High School in 1961. He then became an Auto Body Mechanic at Davis Auto Body and then later expanded his career as a Truck Driver for Avon.  Richard was also an active and faithful member at Mt. His passion included spending time with his loving family, gardening, having BBQ's, and being a jokester. Richard’s nieces, nephews, and grandchildren especially, knew about the big bear claw or rather the pinch! He mostly enjoyed spending time with the love of his life, Cornell Turner of 55 years. To this beautiful union, he was the loving father of: Joseph Turner (Dawn) of Wilmington, DE; Cornellius Turner of Salisbury, MD; Kaile Turner (Marie) of Salisbury, MD, and Joanne Key of Cherry Hill, NJ.
