Rosaline Powell-Jackson, departed this life Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at the Wicomico Rehabilitation Nursing Home in Salisbury, Maryland. Born in Snow Hill, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late William and Mable Powell.
She was educated in the public schools of Worcester County. After completing her former education, she became employed at the former Peninsula General Hospital and the Stewart Funeral Home. She relocated to New Jersey to work for ISA Telephonic as an Administrative Assistant, later working as an Assistant Buyer with B. Altman and ended her employment at Clara Maass Hospital as a Secretary.
Rosaline was a “Social Butterfly" ,never meeting a stranger. She enjoyed traveling, crabbing, going to the horseraces, family and spending time with the grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Zion Church and a wonderful woman who was loved by many. She will be truly missed by family and friends.
To share in her memories, Rosaline is survived by her loving children, Marilyn Jackson-Stanley, Charles Jackson Jr., Salisbury, Maryland; Keith Jackson, Marion, Maryland, a host of grand and great-grandchildren, other relatives and the “Jersey Crew”.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Sanders (“Butch”) Jackson, daughter, Wendy Roberts, Brothers; William and Jerry Hudson, Sisters; Katie Parker, Jeanette Hudson,Ruth Stencil and Granddaughter Roneshea Stanley.
A private service, officiated by Rev. Dr. Thomas Tucker, Jr., will be held Wednesday, May 13, 2020, 1:00pm, at the Stewart Funeral Home by Holloway & Downey, P.A. Interment will follow at Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery in Snow Hill, Maryland.
